Goldstar Transport, Australia
Sean Caron is the managing director of Goldstar Transport in Australia. Goldstar Transport started their business in 2004. The company started out cutting steel and they have over 300 people in the business now. Goldstar Transport moves a large amount of steel and aluminium extrusion style products.
“We handle the product from the port through our distribution centre to the end customer. This includes de-stuffing the container, sorting the product, and making sure the customers get the right product in the right time.”
Getting the steel out of the containers often presented some challenges for the company. After extensive research around the world and looking at the different systems available Goldstar Transport felt that Simec Systems FL40 was the best product for them.
“At Simec Systems They went to really great lengths to make sure the product was suitable” says Sean Caron. “The effort that they put into making sure the product would do the job for us was second to none and at the end of the day the people, I mean the product is really solid. Transval Finland
Transval is the biggest logistics service provider in Finland with 250 million Euros of turnover and employing almost 3000 people. The company was looking for an Automated loading truck and container system from the global market. Simec Systems was the best solution they could find.
Transval had a product loading challenge. They needed to load long and heavy items into a container. We wanted to provide them the best possible solution how to load and unload products to standard containers. “We have not heard a one single time when when it has not worked, so we have not had any problems using Simec Systems FL40. Transval´s only limitation using Simec Systems FL40 is the capacity of the cargo container. Simec Systems FL40 works for big and heavy loads up to 32 tons as well as for smaller loads. The time a container can stay with us is becoming shorter and shorter. That’s why we use Simec Systems product for pre-loading products our before loading the actual container. Of course, it saves time, but most important for us is that we can load big items and heavy items into the container. Without Simec Systems products we would not load containers at all with big heavy items. FL40 has been very a reliable solution for us. I fully recommend it for everyone!”
Valmet Technologies
Valmet is a global technology company, having over 40 production units and over a 14 thousand professionals. Marko Reunanen is the Head of Logistics & Material Management in Valmet Technologies. He is working in the paper business.
“Valmet had its own in-house R&D project to be able to load long products into box containers. The solution came from Simec Systems. Now Valmet can load long pieces into box containers and has decreased the amount of open containers. Using Simec Systems increases flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and then also enlarges the possibility to select better transportation solutions for our deliveries.

The main driver for us was that Simec Systems automated loading and unloading systems are easy to assemble and to move from one location to another. The only limitation is the container capacity. Simec Systems solutions fit best for our purposes.”
